AGARTALA, Aug 28 (TIWN): CPI-M’s students wing Tripura Students Union (TSU) on Sunday held a protest alleging Education Dept is trying to abolish the Kokborok language’s learning in schools under Vidyajyoti Project.

Addressing media, TSU Secretary Sujit Tripura said, “Does Tripura have any Education Dept ? It looks like the Dept is in deep sleep. The Education Minister is also in slumber. So TSU has decided to wake them up”.

“We have been consistently protesting against the intrigue of Tripura BJP Govt to abolish the Kokborok language learning from schools. So we have launched this protest and until the Govt restores Kokborok our protests will be continuing”, said Sujit.
