AGARTALA, Aug 28 (TIWN): BJP National President J.P. Nadda has arrived in Tripura, and received a grand welcome at Agartala MBB Airport. Chief Minister Manik Saha, Deputy CM Jishnu Debbarman were present along with other BJP leaders at Agartala MBB Airport to welcome the High Command. Tripura is to undergo crucial Village Committee Election in November 2022 and then 2023 Assembly Election is also just after five months. Targeting the polls, J.P. Nadda has reached Tripura in a two days visit. Nadda also will be conducting internal meetings aiming to strengthen the part. Tomorrow he will deliver a speech at Khumulwng, the ADC headquarter in Tripura.
Ahead of J.P.Nadda’s visit, BJP leader, and chief opposition leader of ADC Hangsha Tripura quit BJP and joined Tipra Motha party. Right now, BJP is the major opposition in Tripura ADC and Tipra Motha is in power.
In the upcoming Assembly, ADC will play a gamer-changer role as out of 60 seats, 20 belong to the ADC.
