BELONIA, Aug 15 (TIWN): The main function of the South District based Independence Day was held at the Belonia Vidyapith Mini Stadium.

State Social Welfare and Social Education Minister Santana Chakma hoisted the flag at 9 am, South District Governor Saju Wahid A, South District Zilla Parishad Chairperson Kakali Das Dutta, MLA Arunchandra Bhowmik, SDM Ratan Bhowmik were also present.

On the occasion, various cultural programs were organized by various schools on the grounds.
