AGARTALA, Aug 15 (TIWN): 8 students suffered burns on their feet in the scorching heat of the sun while performing judo on 76th Independence Day celebrations organized by the Gomati District Administration on the grounds of Netaji Subhas Mahavidyalaya in Udaipur. Immediately they were brought to Gomati District Hospital, where they are being treated at Gomati District Hospital.
Maitri Sarkar (15) of Loknath Ashram Road, Negaheen Marak (17) of Patichhari Area, Shravani Talukdar (16) of Chanban, Tanya Das (12) of Chanban, Akansa Ghosh (14) of Palti Road, Indrani Das (13) of Giridhari Palli, Uma Begum (15) of Chanban, Tanmoy Das (15) of Mirza were injured.
All of them are admitted in the surgical department of Gomati District Hospital.
The actual reason could not be known for this unfortunate incident. Doctor said, their health is stable now.
