Agartala, January 10 (TIWN): Suppressed resentment is brewing among the residents of Natun Nagar as the people belong to coolie populations in collaboration with some CPI-M local leaders under Airport police station have been trying to divide two Shiv and Kali temples over past few months.
The local sources said, Shiv and Kali temples are located at the same spot. A banyan tree separated two temples from the middle. A section of local residents said that people belong to coolie community reportedly use Shiv temple to offer worship and the other people of that locality use Kali temple for long time.
While the common people trying to set aside two temples together, a few of the CPI-M local leaders extending their supports towards the coolie populations for separating the temples by constructing a brick-wall, alleged a local.
Recently, the local CPI-M leaders along with people of coolie populations reportedly had a discussion with the other residents of that area over the issue. During the discussion, the majority of the locals raised objection on temples separation issue.
According to a section of local residents, if they separate two temples by wall, a fresh aggression will take place affecting the common people. Therefore, the locals demanded for not to make any violence situation by separating the temples at Natun Nagar.
