AGARTALA, Aug 14 (TIWN): 10323 teachers on Sunday held a press meet at Agartala Press Club. Addressing media, 10323 teachers said that U.K.Chama, the then Education Director is the main culprit behind the illegal termination of the 10323 teachers. “The RTI report which came from the Supreme Court repeatedly has been clearing that all the teachers among 10323 teachers are not a part of 462 teachers who were actually terminated. It is told to us in the RTI --- You are not the party of the case. So our claim that our jobs are not gone is 100% true. So I want to tell the Advocate General to rectify his statement or it will leave many teachers ill”, said 10323 teachers.

“We appeal the Advocate General to implement the Supreme Court’s judgment. Also, Justice A.B.Pal also said that the judgment itself has a way to save the teachers”, said 10323 teachers.

The teachers also demanded the report of the investigation committee at the earliest.

“We are not terminated. We appeal to the Govt and the Advocate General to consider the matter. The Education Director U.K.Chakma is singlehandedly responsible for the illegal termination of the 10323 teachers”, said the teachers.
