AGARTALA, August 9 (TIWN): E-Rickshaw Pullers alleged that some miscreants have been extorting money from Agartala Motorstand by threatening that if E-Rickshaw Pullers don’t give money to them then they cannot move their vehicles on that road. By threatening, miscreants often extort money from E-Rickshaw Pullers for the past 2-2.5 years, allegedly.

Allegation raised that the miscreants extorting money amount of Rs 500, 1000, 200. Centering this issue the E-Rickshaw Pullers Association placed deputation to East PS, they demanded Police intervene on this matter and to take action against the miscreants for harassing them.

Few miscreants were identified as Arup Das, Bapi Das and Sujit Chakraborty and many others.

The association strongly stated that if action not taken against the miscreants then the Association will violate the ‘Law’
