AGARTALA, Aug 6 (TIWN): As Election months are ahead, the TET qualified job aspirants are in fear of their recruitment chances in the coming months. When Tripura Govt schools are suffering due to heavy teachers’ crisis and more than 20,000 vacant posts existing, TRBT only published 576 teachers’ requisition erupted resentment among the job aspirants who were assured by Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath recently to be recruited. A protest was staged by the job aspirants at the Education Director’s office demanding 3,631 job aspirants recruitment at a time.
Addressing the media, the agitators said, “When schools are exposed to heavy shortages of teachers Ministers are silent. Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath himself assured to recruit all TET qualifiers together but TRBT has sought 576 teachers’ recruitment. Then the Director said a different thing and we have met almost all Ministers, officers of the Education Dept but no similarity among their statements. TRBT asked about everyone’s application but said, all verifications will not be held together. Why should we be deprived ?”
“Minister Ratan Lal Nath is saying something before the media but to us, he is saying something else. Elections are ahead and after Durga puja there are polls and again from January, the recruitment will be stopped due to Assembly Poll. We want all recruitments together, not this phase-wise recruitment”, said the TET qualified job aspirant.
The protest was staged at Agartala City Centre. Later, job aspirants gheraoed Education Office and met Director of Elementary Education B. Bhattacharya.
