AGARTALA, Aug 4 (TIWN): A miscreant allegedly set fire on Goddess Kali idol in a Kali Temple in Gandhigram Madhya Para Kalimandir under Airport Police Station. The incident took place at around 3:30 a.m.

Locals later noticing the incident identified the miscreant later, the local residents caught him and handed him over to the police after being beaten up.

It is known the miscreant belongs from Muslim Community, who set fire on Kali idol with an intention to create riot among Hindu and Muslim Community.
