AGARTALA, Aug 2 (TIWN): Votes come and go but the fate of families in Kamrangabari area of Ward No. 5 of Gaurnagar Gram Panchayat has remained as it is.
Families have been deprived of drinking water and roads for almost 35 years in the Kamrangabari area. These families are permanently living in a part of Kamrangabari area of ward number five of Gauranagar Village Panchayat under Gournagar block of Kailashahar.
The problem was not so complicated initially, but for past few years the situation has become complicated, due to the construction of concrete walls and barbed wire fences demarcating the boundaries of the police reserve, and these families are completely blocked.
However, not only roads also they have no provision of drinking water. Several times the locals informed the Panchayat members but nothing has been done.
