AGARTALA, July 28 (TIWN): Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath while addressing at Lakkhichhara Ramakrishna Higher Secondary School said that the Prime Minister has taken initiative to start Vidyajyoti scheme in the state and in each Constituency almost 1-2 Schools are there which fall under Vidyajyoti Scheme. Nath stated that 148 Bengali Medium Schools converted to English Medium Schools under Vidyajyoti Scheme so that the students can get prepared from the early age for a competitive world.
But ground reality is that various schools, despite converting to English Medium from Bengali Medium Schools under Vidyajyoti Scheme are reeling dry without teachers. Recently, parents hanged lock due to teacher crisis Baidyanath Majumdar Memorial Higher Secondary School.
A school in Jolaibari today was visited by media where Class-5 students were teaching their junior students.
Where the teachers, students and parents are suffering from teacher crisis and basic infrastructural crisis there Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath busy to deliver decorated Speeches on ‘Vidyajyoti Scheme’ and ‘Quality Education’, whereas Vidyajyoti is nothing but taxing students without providing quality education.
