AGARTALA, July 21 (TIWN): Amid severe drinking water crisis ongoing in this state of Tripura, the Department of Drinking Water Services and Health organized a review meeting at Pragna Bhawan on Thursday.

Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, IAS Kiren Gitte were present in the program. The meeting was held after hundreds of protests erupted across Tripura over the severe drinking water crisis.

On Wednesday also in Ambassa, Khowai like areas, protests were organized by public against water crisis problems. In some areas, pump operators were not paid led the locals to block the road.

However, the outcomes and discussed matters of the closed door meeting was not revealed.
