AGARTALA, July 3 (TIWN): CPI-M State Secretary Jitendra Chowdhury on Saturday while addressing CPI-M’s rally in Agartala slammed BJP over the going violence in this state marking BJP a party of total discipline. Citing BJP’s lack of discipline condition in the party, Chowdhury said, “3 out of 4 by-polls in Tripura have been outcomes of BJP’s infighting. When the election was held, what did we see? They are not allowing people to cast votes, voters were injured, senior citizens were attacked”.“After the poll results, state-wide people are undergoing hellish conditions due to day-night attacks of the goons”, said Chowdhury.
He also took a dig at Police and administration for their mute spectator role.
In the same program, former CM Manik Sarkar said, “It was not a Vote. It was a robbery of votes. Some people still could cast votes and many could not. So many voters took many attempts to cast votes but could not cast finally. Many voters were injured in their attempt to cast votes. Voters were attacked on votingday's night hours. What was BJP’s attempt from the beginning? It was said told the daily workers that after vote casting BJP will know who has voted for whom and then whether they will get their pending wages or not, it will be decided”.
Manik Sarkar further asked people to come out against the goonda-raj of the BJP.
