KUMARGHAT, June 28 (TIWN): Local people at Fatikroy in Kumarghat subdivision on Tuesday blocked road in protest against power-cut problems which is pursuing for 2 months at a stretch.
Though Deputy CM cum Power Minister Jishnu Debbarman recently claimed about ‘no power-cut problems’ exist in the state except weather related emergency period, but the reality speaks the total opposite state of affairs. Tuesday’s road blockade is a consequence of massive power outage problems in the state.
Due to the road blockade, vehicles were stuck for hours.
Police and local authorities rushed to the spot and talks are underway to convince the locals for withdrawing the blockade over the main road.
