AGARTALA, June 3 (TIWN): Shubh Nath (2.5 years), son of Sagar Nath of Ward No. 2 of Radhapur village in Dharmanagar died on January 31. No complaint was lodged by the child's family at that time as his body was recovered from a nearby water body. So Sagar Nath, the father of the dead child brought the child home from the hospital without an autopsy and buried him in the ground according to religious rites.

But after about four months the locals sent a letter and approached the administration to investigate the incident as it is suspected that the minor boy was murdered.

A UD case was registered against the death of the minor boy.

Dharmanagar PS police dug up the soil and recovered the child's skeleton and brought it to the district hospital.
