Agartala, January 6 (TIWN): With the initiative of Central Reserve police Force, Adarani Group Centre a blood donation camp was organized at its premises here today. The blood donation camp was conducted in collaboration with ILS Hospital.
Ravideep Singh Sahi, Dy. Inspector General (DIG) Tripura Sector graced the occasion as chief guest while Kishor Ambuly, IAS (Retd) and COO of ILS Hospital attended the programme as special guest. DIG of Group Centre, CRPF- Balaram Shil and other officers were also present during the camp.
The blood donation camp was inaugurated by the DIG, Tripura Sector- Ravideep Singh Sahi. Altogether 50 members of CRPF have donated their blood. In fact, Mr. Sahi himself, Senior Medical Officer of Adarani Group Centre- Dr. DS Mohan and Commandant of 124 Bn CRPF- SN Singh set an example before the jawans by donating blood.
In his speech, Mr. Sahi thanked the associates Tripura Medical College and Dr. BR Ambedkar Memorial Teaching Hospital for providing help and logistic support. Besides, Mr Sahi and Mr Shil encouraged the CRPF jawans by saying that blood donation is the greatest and invaluable donation by which a person can save someone’s life.
In view of the overwhelming response and enthusiasm shown by the CRPF jawans, more such camps will be organized in future, they added.
