AGARTALA, May 26 (TIWN): CPI-M held a protest today in a joint venture of the East Agartala and Banamalipur areas demanding restoration of rule of law in the state and in protest of the unbridled rise in commodity prices.
The protest rally started from the old motor stand, passed through Chittaranjan Road, Shivnagar, Kalyani, Math Chowmuhani and reached the old motor stand. A massive response has been noticed around the procession.
Comrade Amal Chakraborty, Member of CPI (M) State Committee, Arun Sinha, Member of Sadar Sub-Divisional Secretariat of the party, Sanjay Das, Secretary of East Agartala Regional Committee, Lipika Das, Secretary of Central Banamalipur Regional Committee, Perth Basfor, Member of Sub-Divisional Committee and others were present in the rally.
