AGARTALA, May 23 (TIWN): Congress held a massive protest rally in Agartala against increasing commodity price hikes. The rally was held in Agartala and led by Congress leader Sudip Barman. Congress raised a slogan against price hikes. Slogans were also raised, “BJP haay, haay….”. Talking to media, Congress leader Sudip Roy Barman said, “It is a protest against price hikes across India and our programme is also a part of a nationwide programme of the National Congress. From cooking gas to daily commodities, medicines or any other price of the daily commodities have skyrocketed. Although the Central Govt assured us that the commodity prices rates to be downed but the Govt has miserably failed”.

On being asked about the Law and Order situation of the state, Barman said, “The law and order is totally failed and there is no time to heal it. The situation has gone out of control. There is no room for any improvement of the law and order and it is just in a miserable shape”.
