AGARTALA, May 23 (TIWN): From Manipur para to Acharjee para remains in dilapidated state over two decades, resulting the local people facing troubles to move on that road smoothly. Multiple times the local people raised the matter to local leaders but nothing happened.

Over silent, inactive role of the authorities and demanding immediate road repair the angst locals today blocked Barjala road on Monday in front of Barajala TRTC.

However, receiving road blockade news, Councilor Jagdish Das rushed to the blockade spot and talked with the locals. Later after getting assurance of road repair the road block was lifted.

Now, it has remained to be seen whether the local leaders will really take initiative or not to repair the road.
