AGARTALA, March 25 (TIWN): Netizens have slammed the BJP Govt for the arrest of NET qualified youth in a petty post.

The arrested youth, who is 31 years old is a former student of Tripura University posted a political meme centering Patal Kanya Jamatia’s joining in BJP surrendering her long struggles over NRC.

The post was a political satire that symbolically meant how ahead of the election, political leaders are converting themselves to new parties.

However, arrests of netizens are not new in Tripura. Earlier also various times, netizens were arrested in Tripura under BJP Govt over petty issues.

Netizens raised the question, of whether Tripura has become North Korea or not.
