AGARTALA, March 22 (TIWN): Five Bangladeshis who reserved a car and were towards Chennai via Tripura have been detained.

After receiving this secret information, the police force conducted a search in front of the Bagma police outpost.

Five Bangladeshis were detained during the search operation. Several Bangladeshi rupees were recovered from them.

The operation was carried out at 5 am on Tuesday. According to police sources, the Bangladeshis crossed the border from Bangladesh and entered the Indian border at Belonia around 11:30 pm on Monday. At present, 5 people have been arrested and police are conducting interrogation at Radha Kishore Pur police station.

Each of them lives in Barisal Dist of Bangladesh.
