AGARTALA, March 20 (TIWN): TPF leader Patal Kanya Jamatia who came in the limelight in 2018 after filing a petition in Supreme Court demanding NRC in Tripura and deportation of all illegal immigrants including Tripura’s incumbent BJP Chief Minister Biplab Deb whom she called an “Illegal Bangladeshi” has joined BJP party on Sunday. However, her joining in BJP was in rumours for last few months. But after joining BJP she did not mention about NRC issue, rather she hailed BJP’s “Ek Tripura, Shreshtha Tripura”. She also said that BJP is the most disciplined party in India and praised Biplab Deb's leadership.
Accusing Tipra Motha party of conducting violence in ADC, Patal Kanya slammed Tipra Motha chairman Pradyot Manikya further.
She appreciated the efforts taken by Centre under PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to develop the indigenous population and ADC areas.
