AGARTALA, March 19 (TIWN): Increasing Crime against women across the state whether its rape incident or killing housewife by setting fire or by strangulating. Such an incident highlighted in the Bishalgarh area.

It is known a housewife named Moni Sarkar, 26 years old, a resident of Charilam Khamarbari area under Bishalgarh subdivision tried to commit suicide to get rid from Husband’s extreme torture.

After hearing Moni’s screams local people rushed to the spot and, noticing her condition took her to Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital. The Doctors on Duty at Bishalgarh Hospital referred her to TMC hospital in Hapania for better treatment.

The housewife alleged that her husband including her father-in-law has been constantly torturing her.
