AGARTALA, March 17 (TIWN): Lashing out at the Governor’s roleplay, Tripura former Chief Minister, Opposition Leader Manik Sarkar said, there is no need for Governor if s/he can not uphold the system when crisis hits a state. Tripura’s present Governor Satyadeo Narain Arya has been critically ill for years and whenever any appointment is sought, Governor House declines to arrange the meeting due to his illness. Today, former CM Manik Sarkar mentioned the lawless situations that erupted in the state in the past few months whereas the Governor has remained silent throughout the sets of incidents either it's Poll violence or it’s Agartala political riots.
Today opposition MLAs had walked out of the Tripura Assembly after a heavy verbal argument among ruling and opposition MLAs over deteriorated law and order conditions.
Manik Sarkar also held a press meet after walking out of Assembly, alleged, BJP Govt's Dictator-rule in Tripura without valuing opposition and common men.
“Governor is ill. It’s reasonable but where is the room for grievance ? In such conditions, we do not feel it is important to listen to him (Governor)”, asked Sarkar.
