AGARTALA, March 11 (TIWN): Tripura recently was marked No-1 state in political violence. In last 24 hours, various reports on violence including extortion, physical attacks, party office burning came to light, but the police department has failed to arrest any culprit behind the incidents. Various CPI-M party offices were ransacked, burnt and Congress party members were attacked. Even tea stall owners and poor people are under deadly attacks.
The violence was escalated after BJP’s win in four states UP, Uttarakhand, Goa, Manipur Assembly polls and Assam by-polls.
In Melaghar, Bishalgarh, Agartala political attacks have been reported and more reports are coming from other sub-divisions.
