AGARTALA, March 9 (TIWN): Drinking water crisis is nothing new in Tripura rural areas. Though the BJP govt in Vision Document assured that water will be provided to every house yet rural areas are deprived of getting pure drinking water. Reportedly, villagers of Tumchharai ADC Village under Dham Chhara block, today blocked roads demanding pure drinking water as the people of the area have not been getting water for a long time.

It is also learned that several times the shortage of drinking water was informed to SDO but no action was taken so far.

However, receiving road blockade news SDO of DWS rushed at the spot and requested to withdraw the road blockade. The villagers said that if their water issue is not solved then they will go for a massive protest.

However, due to the road blockade on Tuesday, a heavy traffic disruption erupted in the area.
