AGARTALA, March 5 (TIWN): Along with other crimes Drug addiction and theft cases are both competitively increasing in the state. Reportedly a Battery worth Rs 20,000 was stolen from a lorry last night, the incident took place in the area adjacent to Koraimura school under Bishalgarh PS.
According to the details of the incident, Bahar Mia of Karaimura area parked his lorry number TR01A 1771 in front of Karaimura H.S School on Friday like other days. On Saturday morning the driver noticed that the door lock of the car was broken and the battery worth Rs 20,000 inside the car was stolen.
Noticing it the driver informed the lorry owner and also at Bishalgarh PS was informed.
Confronting media , the lorry owner alleged often theft cases have been occurring in the area by drug addicted youths for purchasing drugs.
Reportedly, the anti-socials have been running theft activities in the area but Bishalgarh PS Police failed to detain the main criminals.
