AGARTALA, Feb 20 (TIWN): Various bike rallies, rallies were organized by CPI-M state-wide today ahead of the 23rd State Conference which will be started from 25th February for 2-days followed by a mass-rally at Astabal on 24th February. A massive rally was also organized in Aralia today where youths participated with bikes to propagate about the 23rd State Conference. A state conference will be organized 25th and 26th February in Agartala Town Hall and on 24th February CPI-M will organize the mass gathering at the Astabal Stadium. Party State Secretary Jitendra Chowdhury said, “Even though people are undergoing heavy poverty, there are financial problems to arrange the vehicle fares and political attack like issues also prevailing, but we are expecting a mass gathering on that day. We do not want to show our strength in the party but the democracy will be reflected as from ground level to leaders all will join in the rally”.
“Amid such anarchy and existence of fascist Govt in Tripura, how Communist party is doing its responsibility and connection to the masses, it will be reflected”, said Chowdhury.
Jitendra Chowdhury also said national CPI-M leaders Sitaram Yechury, Prakash Karat, Opposition leader Manik Sarkar will address the rally.
