AGARTALA, Feb 19 (TIWN): Former CM Manik Sarkar has expressed shocks over BJP Govt’s attitude to the Blind people of the state, who are struggling to get their minimum rights.
Today Tripura Blind Association members met the former CM Manik Sarkar and placed various demands before him. Sarkar saw the 13 points of demand and told them that the administration is under another Govt and advised them to meet the current Chief Minister.
The Association members told media that they were trying to meet the authority and CM but nobody is ready to listen to them seriously.
Manik Sarkar said to media further, “Many schemes and projects started years ago and some of them could be completed during Left Govt's time but the new Govt is not taking any initiative to implement the schemes. The Association members also demanded separate schools for boys and girls which is a very reasonable demand. CM should listen to them”.
