AMARPUR (Gomati Dist, Tripura), Feb 17 (TIWN); Amid the tall claims about “Nesha Mukt Tripura”, the state has been gripped in Drug Smuggling but the big heads behind the network is out of police’s rudder. At least 3 persons were arrested in Amarpur Sub-Divisional Hospital in Drug Racket. According to the details of the incident, Pintu Ranjan Das, the ambulance driver of the hospital No. 102, has been running a drug business in an empty room of the hospital for several months. Every night, Pintu and his associates transport various drugs from the empty room of the hospital to various areas of the sub-division by ambulance.
The doctors, nurses, and security guards, who have been on duty for a long time, are reluctant over the matters. Because Pintu Ranjan Das is also the leader of the ruling party BJP and BMS. He allegedly also threatens to transfer those who come to obstruct his work
Based on information, however police have arrested the driver along with 2 more.
