AGARTALA, Feb 16 (TIWN): According to the details it is known the staff of Charilam Forest Office had secret information that a vehicle loaded with sand and wooden logs number TR01R-1550 was coming from Jampuijala area towards Bishalgarh. Reportedly, the vehicle was parked in the Naba Shantiganj Bazar area on Tuesday and based on this Forest Department officials chased the vehicle and later detained it. After led search in the vehicle, the officials seized large quantity of illegal sand and wooden logs.
Later, the recovered wooden logs and sand were taken to the Charilam Forest Office. Meanwhile, SDFO Sukant Das told reporters that such operations by the Forest Department officials would be continued in the coming days.
However, no one is arrested in the smuggling case.
