AGARTALA, Feb 16 (TIWN): Trinamool Congress on Wednesday has protested against the Hawker Eviction Drive of the Tripura BJP Govt.

A protest rally was organized which walked across the city raising voices for the poor vendors.

Addressing media, TMC Steering Committee convener Subal Bhowmik said, “The BJP Govt has not provided any new work for the people, rather, the existing minimum livelihood which they have are being snatched. Demanding their compensation and rehabilitation, we are protesting against the inhuman drive of the BJP Govt”.

The protest was held amid Tripura Govt is removing hawkers, vendors in public places.
