AGARTALA, Feb 15 (TIWN): Minister Sushanta Chowdhury in a warning and blackmailing tune asked senior CPI-M leader, State Secretary and Gana Mukti Parishad (GMP) chief Jitendra Chowdhury to seek an apology for his comment that Tripura BJP Govt's Ministers are taking Commission from the people. Instead of an apology, Jitendra Chowdhury stated why the Minister is so insecure that he is taking help of the Law Dept because something is wrong in this case surely. After Minister Sushanta Chowdhury's threat in Tuesday press conference, CPI-M State Secretary Jitendra Chowdhury asked Law Department to go ahead with a Legal Case against him instead of threatening him in press conferences. Addressing media, Jitendra Chowdhury said, “Are you trying to scare me ? Go ahead with your legal team. I also want to see all the Ministers’ property status in the Court”.

The senior Marxist leader further said, “I clearly said in my press meet that people have started alleging about a rise of Commission culture under the State BJP Govt and many more evidence are there from deprived contractors to news reports. So, do not try to scare me with your power”.
