AGARTALA, Feb 13 (TIWN): Today, Tripura Pradesh Congress President Birjit Sinha, former MLA Gopal Roy, Tripura Pradesh Congress party observer Dr. Ajay Kumar, newly joined party leader Sudip Roy Barman and Ashish Saha went to Tripura Sundari Temple to pay homage.
Sudip Roy Barman said, “We all want beauty to grow around the temple but various heritage trees, Kurma Pith of Tripura Sundari Temple bulldozed. The entire Kurma Pith is Sacred and nobody knows where Maa’s body part has fallen”.
“This is traditional Kurma Peeth. Making this in new way means it’s an attack on our faith... We want developmental work to be done but not by destroying heritage” added Barman.
