AGARTALA, Feb 13 (TIWN): Asit Vaidya, secretary of the Tripura State Committee and Pilak Region Committee of the All India Krishak Sabha and a member of the district committee, was attacked by BJP miscreants last evening.

The BJP miscreants organized an attack on Comrade Asit Baidya after seeing him alone in Pilak Bazaar and beaten up severely. He was later admitted to the hospital with serious injuries.

Strongly condemning the incident Tripura State Committee and All India Krishak Sabha demanded immediate arrest of the BJP miscreants, otherwise, a massive protest will be organized.

Police have failed to take action against the miscreants.
