AGARTALA, Feb 10 (TIWN): Chief Minister to Law Minister often claims the Law and order in the state is under control, the crime rate has decreased but the ground reality discloses a horrible scenario of deteriorated Law and order. Tata Kalibari incident repeated, a 40-year-old woman and a man tied with a tree by locals on suspicion of continuing illicit affair, they were tortured brutally.
The incident took place in the Golaghati Palpara area under Takarjala PS.
Reportedly, on Wednesday night a 40-year-old man was caught with a woman by locals on suspicion of having illicit affair and tied them with a tree and tortured them brutally. But the shocking fact is, even after witnessing the entire incident Police reportedly did not take steps accordingly.
After some videos went viral on social media, public condemned the act and demanded strict action must be taken against those, who were involved in such criminal activities.
Now it has remained to be seen what action Police will take against the criminals who took the law into their hands by torturing them.
