AGARTALA, Feb 9 (TIWN): Leftist organisations SFI, DYFI, AIDWA, AIKS, CITU, TTJSS staged protest against union Budget 2022-2023, saying it’s an anti-people Budget. According to leftist , this budget was announced for the benefit of the corporate sector and Private organisations, not for the common people.

"In this Budget-2022 no employment was generated for the unemployed, even though no initiative was taken for the benefit of farmers and women who are working in Asha, Anganwadi and Mid-Day-meal", said Minati Biswas, secretary of All India Democratic Women's Association during the protest.

The protest was demonstrated in Ker Chowmuhani area, Agartala.
