KAMALASAGAR, Feb 9 (TIWN): A boy from a remote village in Tripura's Kamalasagar constituency may be the first cricketer from Tripura and to be the first player in an internationally acclaimed IPL tournament.
The right-handed leg-spinner from Tripura Amit Ali has already responded at the national level. Amit is currently a reliable player in the Ranji Trophy in Tripura. Amit Ali's house is on the Indo-Bangladesh border of Kamalasagar assembly and on the other side of that border.
Although he was not very talented in studies from his childhood, he had a lot of talent in sports.
Under the Tripura Cricket Association coach Tapan Deb, he gradually began to sharpen his talent. Amit is the second child of four sons of father Muslim Miah and mother Pushpana Begum. She was born in October 2002.
Amit has had to face various problems to get back after practicing. But still, his concentration and his dream of doing something in sports have brought him to this position today. His number in the IPL this year is 472.
