AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, Feb 8 (TIWN): After going back to the root that is Congress from where Sudip Roy Barman, Asish Saha had started their political career from student life said that Congress is in the leaders’ DNA. Talking to media at Delhi Congress Bhawan, the former Congress Chief Minister Samir Barman’s son and resigned MLA of BJP, Sudip Roy Barman said, “I take this opportunity to seek apology from the Congress family across the country that I was carried up being emotional and left the Congress in 2017 which is in my DNA from my student life and I was very much connected with the family. But it’s a great feeling that after a long time, I am in this party again and I am thankful to Congress for honouring me, embracing me back to the family”.

Talking to media, Asish Saha said, “Before 4 and half years, we had joined the BJP to end the unruly atmosphere under the then Govt. But in last 4 and half years we never felt that the new Govt which was formed as a democratic Govt. This Govt turned anti-people and now people of Tripura are against the BJP. We tried to correct the party and also met the National BJP leaders but we could not convince the National BJP leaders to rectify the unruly Govt in the state of Tripura. We are in politics for the people and for people’s welfare we have joined Congress. Under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, this country will get the correct direction”.
