AGARTALA, Feb 8 (TIWN): Trinamool Congress has said that although BJP MLAs Sudip Roy Barman and Asish Saha have joined Congress but it will not work out.
On being asked by media why the MLAs did not join Trinamool, State Convener Subal Bhowmik said, “Our party believes in Democracy. All are welcome in our party from a ground-level worker to MLAs, but nobody should come to our party with any condition”.
“Congress worked as opposition in Tripura for a long time but could not unseat the Left from power. BJP’s almost all leaders, activists are from Congress background but right now Congress has less than 1% voters base and from there, Congress can never come back”, Bhowmik told media.
