AGARTALA, Feb 8 (TIWN): Resigned BJP MLA Sudip Roy Barman and Ashish Saha, two heavyweight ex-BJP leaders quitting BJP, joined Congress Party by holding the hand of Congress National leader Rahul Gandhi. Priyanka Gandhi and other State, National Congress leaders were also present on the occasion.
Barman and Ashish Saha have been serving for the BJP Party for the past 4 years but alleging the misrule, indiscipline, hooliganism of the BJP party under Biplab Deb’s leadership the two MLAs quit BJP party.
Sudip Roy Barman played a vital role to form BJP govt in Tripura in 2018 Assembly Poll, but in the last four years Tripura BJP has experienced lots of internal clashes, turmoils inside the party. BJP's relationship with IPFT has also been bitter.
Sudip Roy Barman before departing to Delhi on Monday said, “The party BJP will be rendered to Minority”.
