AGARTALA, Feb 7 (TIWN): Crisis in the BJP Party ahead of 2023 Election has hit the internal structure. After MLA Asish Das, now two more heavyweight BJP MLAs Sudip Roy Barman and Asish Saha have resigned from the party on Monday and also from the posts. After the resignation, talking to media, Sudip Roy Barman said, “We have breathed the sign of relief by resigning. Because this Govt has miserably failed to deliver good governance. Under this Govt, only one man’s voice is being heard. No legislature, no Minister can exercise their legitimate power. Their (MLAs, Ministers) orders are not being carried out. A rule of terror is existing everywhere. Democracy has been murdered. The voices of the media have been suppressed. Torture of press is going on".
"Now it’s our duty to revive the democracy in this state and to ensure that all the democratic institutions can run according to the constitution”, said Sudip Barman.
“Through autocracy, a state can never progress, can never develop”, Barman added.
“All the promises had been given by BJP before Election are resulting hollow. These people have fooled the people of Tripura and their intention was never to deliver the good but to loot money”, said Barman.
Right now, BJP has 33 MLAs and speculations are being made that many more BJP MLAs are in the row to quit.
