AGARTALA, Feb 6 (TIWN): A 17 year School Student studies at Class-12 in Bharat Sardar Para H/S School, Khowai while returning from School was allegedly molested by a teacher of the school Soumen Chowdhury on the day of Saraswati Puja. The incident took place in Champachhara ADC Village, under Champahaor PS of Khowai.

The culprit teacher Soumen Chowdhury now transferred to Kailashahar. It was alleged that the teacher blocked the victim girl on the way to her home and molested her.

The victim girl after reaching home in absence of family members attempted suicide by consuming poison.

The minor girl was taken to Khowai Hospital for treatment.

However, the accused teacher Soumen Chowdhury has been arrested by the police.
