AGARTALA, Feb 5 (TIWN): Auto drivers sat in a blockade in front of CNG station under Bishramganj police station on Agartala Sabroom National Highway. It is learned that on Saturday, auto drivers of Bishalgarh subdivision area blocked the national highway in front of the CNG station. Auto drivers blocked the national highway for about half an hour in front of Bishramganj CNG station. Police of Bishramganj Police Station rushed to the spot after receiving information about the road blockade in front of Bishramganj CNG Station on Agartala Sabrum National Highway. However, after half an hour Agartala Sabrum National Road was closed, other policemen including Bishramganj Police Station OC came to lift the blockade.

The blockade was lifted on the assurance of the Bishramganj police. However, the drivers also said that if the gas service at Bishramganj CNG station is not normal in the coming days, they will block the national highway again.

Traffic movement was heavily disrupted due to the blockade.
