AGARTALA, Feb 4 (TIWN): Ramnagar outpost Police led a raid in Lankamura area based on secret information and seized Rs 5.5 lakh cash including Phensedyl and Cough Syrup worth Rs 15 lakhs.

A man named Chandan Haldar was detained by Police under NDPS act for being involved with drug trading.

Due to increasing drug trading, several times earlier Lankamura Women team placed deputation to Women PS but no effect was seen to control the drugs trading in Lankamura area.

The drugs trading has increased extremely in the state, a huge percent of youth of the Society are involved in consuming drugs, for which the destruction of the youth generation is inevitable.
