AGARTALA, Feb 3 (TIWN): The CITU cordoned off the Agartala Municipal Corporation office on Thursday in connection with the eviction of hawkers.
Leaders of CITU party including CPI-M were present in the demonstration on this day.
Their demand was alternative arrangements need to be made for hawkers before evicting them.
Statewide for road expansion and SMART City projects, various areas are facing eviction of hawkers in Tripura which has generated a mixed public response over the Govt’s move.
CITU demanded compensations and proper areas should be allowed to the hawkers before evicting them.
