AGARTALA, January 1 (TIWN): In a shocking incident, a turnip farming field spread over one kani land was destroyed by some unknown miscreants at Rajnagar area near Indo-Bangla international border yesterday.

 The owner of the farming field Mahesh Debnath alleged that some unknown miscreants entered in the farming field yesterday night and destroyed the turnip farming field. The destroy has made a loss of Rs. 60 thousand, the owner of the farming field Mahesh Debnath added.

According to the locals, they saw some miscreants entered in the farming field and started destroying the field but when they tried to catch the miscreants they ran away even as people tried to chase them. They also alleged that the miscreants might have came from Bangladesh.

After getting the information police personnel from Battala out Post rushed to the spot and started investigation, said cops.
