Agartala, Jan 01 (TIWN): Tripura Pradesh Trinamool Congress’s 9-Banamalipur block TMC committee today observed party’s 17th Foundation Day at the party office premises.

The observance of the day was by hosting the party’s flag by former state president of TMC- Nitai Chowdhury this morning while convener (in-charge) of Indian National Trinamool Trade Union Congress (INTTUC)- Biplab Kar hosted the INTTUC’s flag.

As part of the observance of Foundation Day, TMC leaders and workers today distributed books, copies, pens and sweets among over 40 needy children of that Banamalipur area.

On the other hand, Trinamool Congress leaders would submit deputation to the Tripura Governor- PB Acharya on chit-fund issues soon. The date of deputation is yet to be fixed, said a party source today.

Besides, the leaders of Trinamool Congress have extended their warmest greetings to the people of the state on New Year. May this New Year bring peace and prosperity among the state, they said
