AGARTALA, Jan 28 (TIWN): Terrible Scenario caught in the lens, since Wednesday after dead bodies of Migratory Birds photos are circulating in Social Media.

Reportedly, for the past 7-8 years in every winter Migratory Birds identified as Swamphen have been coming in Udaipur, Sukhsagar water bodies. But few local people on Tuesday mixed poison with Paddy and after consuming the paddy mixed with poison around thousands of migratory birds died on spot. The incident occurred in Sukhsagar lake in Tripura’s Gomoti District.

But shockingly, many local people took those dead birds for consumption and also stray dogs were taken away, according to eyewitnesses.

On Thursday, some journalists from Udaipur met Mahendra Singh, Gomati District Forest Officer. After knowing the details of the incident, the forest officials rushed to the Sukhsagar spot on Thursday evening to investigate the incident.
