AGARTALA, Jan 24 (TIWN): A woman named Subhadra Hrishi Das took Rs 1.5 lakh by mortgaging her property for her daughter’s marriage from a man identified as Sambhu Hrishi Das of the same area Nihal Chandra Nagar, Madhupur. After taking money from Sambhu Hrishi Das the woman returned around Rs 60,000 but was unable to return the rest amount due to workless situation that erupted after COVID.

The man Sambhu Hrishi Das, his wife, and his family have been constantly creating pressure on her to clear his debt or to give her Property. Not only created pressure on her but also had beaten her. Due to humiliation, the woman poisoned her in her house.

The woman was primarily taken to Madhupur Health Center from where she was referred to TMC hospital. Noticing her critical condition she was referred To Agartala GB Hospital, but the woman breathed last while undergoing treatment at GB Hospital.

The family said, a case will be registered against Sambhu Hrishi Das and his family members.
